Service Description

Learning to play with images and text can unlock creative story-telling, and in today’s data-driven world having a sense of visual literacy is important. Plus, we all need to get outside more these days and connect with nature. Led by educator and photographer, Maya Sissoko, each week this workshop will include a different element of photography, time to share and discuss photographs taken between sessions, inspiration and guidance for adding writing to photos in creative ways, and a deeper look at the literal and metaphorical connections between photographs and words. Students will be encouraged to get outside, to use their senses, to connect with nature, and to pay attention more slowly. They will create a digital portfolio and participate in a final exhibit on the last day. *Must be able to upload photos each week to share. Any camera acceptable.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that summer plans can change, and we do our best to accommodate. All cancellations made prior to May 25 are fully refunded less a $50 cancellation fee. After May 25th, refunds are not given for cancellations.
