Service Description

Take a Break. We all need one. Come spend some time with the wonderful book, "The Tale of Despereaux," by Kate DiCamillo. Learning happens when we are in a calm, open, and receptive state. Only then can our brains engage and learn new information. The recent turn of events has heightened everyone’s stress levels. Let this be a time for your child to regroup, relax, and renew with no expectation or goal beyond letting their mind enter another world. Research shows that children in upper elementary grades benefit greatly from being read content that is challenging beyond their independent reading level, and they rarely get this opportunity. This book is a time-tested and award-winning favorite by children of many ages and backgrounds. Written in a complex and stylized manner, this book is ripe for questions and discussion along the way. Discussions will include low-pressure, thought-provoking questions for self-reflection through the deep examination of character development, literary devices, theme, setting, and plot.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that summer plans can change, and we do our best to accommodate. All cancellations made prior to May 25 are fully refunded less a $50 cancellation fee. After May 25th, refunds are not given for cancellations.
