Happiness

is taller than the Earth 

She helps people all around the world filling them up with her energy 

Happiness has a joyful personality 

She loves to help animals 

She is never gone 

She always stays in your heart even when your uncomfortable emotions are there

She's there

Love

Love is tall but not as tall as Happiness

Love is a 3-story house

On the bottom floor 

He gets all of his ideas 

He also cooks there

Red velvet cake

The smell of home

Love likes to draw red pandas and the other emotions

Love jumps and skips down the hall to visit Joy and Happiness

On the second floor 

He sleeps on a red and pink, gigantic heart-shaped bed

He eats porridge for breakfast, spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, and for dinner, a filet minon

Dessert is a heart-shaped panna cotta

At exactly 8:30 pm he reminices about all the good times he has had

On the third floor

Is the ballroom

Where all the emotions unite 

and PARTY!

Happiness, Joy, Jealousy, and Courage are regulars

Embarrassment comes but always hides under her hoodie tied up tightly

Sadness comes and stands in the corner

Anger is usually cranky and leaves early

Anxiety almost never comes

Love talks to all the uncomfortable emotions and helps them feel better

Standing tall with a grin

Even when it feels like he may have left, he is always in there

And that is all that love is

Anxiety

Anxiety is a tiny person

who never talks to anyone except his teddy bear and his teacher 

when he's in school 

if he needs to ask a question, but 

never in front of the rest of the class

only privately

I tried to talk to him, but he told me he was too busy

had too much to do

too much to worry about

He was gone in a flash

Honesty

Honesty always likes to 

Meditate in the morning 

To find inner peace

She loves to do yoga 

With every emotion (even Anxiety!) 

She likes to play with Joy, they are best friends 

One day Honesty, Sadness, Happines, and Joy were playing hide-and-seek tag 

When Sadness tagged Honesty, she said, "I'm IT!"  

Even when she might feel like she has lost

Honesty always wins 

And that is what Honesty is 

Honestly!

Guilt

At the age of four, Guilt's parents passed away

He was sent to the orphanage 

The kids laughed at him because he did not have an arm

The day he was adopted by some mean, old man

The kids laughed even harder than before

Poor Guilt cried

The kids were sent to their rooms to do their chores

At the age of five, Guilt loved hitting kids at school with water balloons and laughing at 

them

VERY HARD

He had no friends 

but he did not care

He wanted revenge from the mean kids who hurt his feelings

He thought every kid was bad and treated him poorly for what he looked like

When he was older, he realized what he had done

And thought no one would want to see him again

So he locked himself in his house and never wanted to see anyone again

Ten years later, Guilt understood that being vengeful creates more negativity

Now Guilt wants a fresh start to do the right things

Guilt learned from what he did

And now Guilt has to do what he has to do

Loneliness

Lonliness is small but becomes bigger when he sees Guilt.

Guilt is the only person who understands him.

One day, the mailman said Guilt locked himself in his house never to be seen again.

Lonliness cried pouring tears for days.

Guilt was the only person who understood him.

The morning arrived when Lonliness had to go to school.

He was not even visible anymore.

That night Despair came to visit of his sorrow. 

He said, "Get a gun and kill yourself." 

Right before Lonliness did,

Sadness came and said, "I've been listening to you and Guilt behind the wall.

I understand you! I know what your story is."

When Sadness disappeared, Lonliness stopped and thought. 

"Maybe if I tell people my story, they'll understand me and I'll be seen."

Lying

Lying is small 

Not as small as anxiety

But small

Lying likes to pull tricks on people 

One person he really hates is

Truth

She always shuts down his ideas

Not that his ideas were good

But they were always arguing

Setting a wrong example

Lying and Truth are sister and brother

Lying likes to sew

That is the only thing he is good at

(at least that's what Truth says)

Lying is best friends with Joy

But he doesn't show who is truly is

That is the only reason why they can be friends

He started to feel guilty

He told Joy

She melted in madness and sadness

That day Lying made her a card 

It said: Can we start over?

Then he said: I have learned

if you don't be who you truly are

it might pay off in the moment

but it will come back to you later 

And that is what Lying learned!
