In the almost complete silence on my cul-de-sacÂ
I hear twigs snapping,Â
squirrels hurrying,Â
dogs barking,Â
birds tweeting,Â
planes humming,Â
flowers smelling how sugar tastes.
Â
My street is coated in silence.
Silence.
